Neon Genesis Evangelion Watch Order

Evangelion is two things: the original 1990s series (with its film ending) and the newer Rebuild film tetralogy that re-tells and reinvents it. Here’s the order that makes both land.

Recommended order

Watch the original TV series first, then The End of Evangelion as its true ending. Only then start the four Rebuild films — they’re a standalone reimagining that hits far harder once you know the original.
