Dorothy serves as a guide for newcomers in Eden, and is also the leader of Inherit, Eden's primary combat squad. In the past, Dorothy is actually one of the members of the ill-fated Goddess squad consisting of her, the late Liliweiss, Rapunzel, Red Hood, Scarlet, and Snow White. After Liliweiss' unfortunate death, Dorothy took the role of their acting leader. After Operation Ark Guardian, she along with other surface-dwellers founded Eden and became the leader of Inherit squad. The leader of Inherit Squad. In a squad renowned for its superlative strength, she is recognized as the most powerful amongst all of them. Her angelic smile conceals the true contents of her heart, which remain a mystery. Upon meeting her for the first time, Dorothy presents herself to be kind and hospitable, introducing herself as Eden's guide to strangers and newcomers. However, her kindness masks a cruel, manipulative, vengeful yet affable personality. She often schemes out a dreadful plan, not hesitating to formulate one which will sacrifice a squad in exchange of providing them beneficiary such as Vapaus or turn against her own allies to relive the past. While her intentions are for the greater good such as protecting Eden or yearning the love of humanity, but nonetheless, it could result in casualties which would defy the ethics of her own comrades. Dorothy would impart in a temper tantrum whenever things do not go out according to her plan or whenever she is shaken off. [spoiler]Prior to the events leading to her current personality, Dorothy was shown to be the most level-headed and inspiring among the Goddess squad. She was genuinely kind and protective towards humanity, ensuring their safety and the lifelong goal of reclaiming the surface as a member of the Goddess squad. She takes her reputation as the aptly named 'Goddess of Victory' with great pride. Despite lacking combat experience during her recruitment, Dorothy proved herself to be a highly talented combatant. After Liliweiss's death as well Red Hood and the Commander's disappearance, she was appointed as the new leader of the Goddess squad, where she also had to shoulder the burden of humanity's last stand. When the situation during Operation Ark Guardian grew most dire due war weariness, fellow Nikkes dying en masse, no sufficient resources and supplies as well the Central Government ignoring messages, the Goddess squad almost fell apart. However a dear friend encouraged Dorothy, allowing her to keep the squad together and continue. Upon having to euthanize said friend who was her only emotional support, the Ark's betrayal by leaving her and her squad to die on the surface as well the loss of her raison d'etre; Dorothy has been driven into a spiraling depression with festering deep-seated hatred and tendencies for emotional outbursts.[/spoiler] [spoiler]By the current timeline, Dorothy has a huge ambition to relive her past glorious days as a member of Goddess squad. There are times the Pilgrim would often bring up her past during the founding days of Inherit such as in a simulation exercise. This goes as far as during her journey with Counters; upon meeting a revived comrade of her, Red Hood, she refuses to let go of her as the Protagonist is ready to use the injection gun to bring back Rapi's body, attacking them in retaliation, despite Red Hood's refusal to join her and pleas to let go of their heydays. That being said, it can be inferred that Dorothy's personality is quite the opposite of Red Hood's.[/spoiler] [spoiler]Much like most denizens of Eden, Dorothy despises the Ark and its citizens. She may punish outsiders who attempts to make communication within the Ark in the jurisdiction of Eden, if necessary. Her hatred is at justifiable at the very least due to the past tragedy she shoulders that caused her squad's eventual downfall. But perhaps, buried in some corner of her heart, something besides hate yet lingers; her yearning to love humans and for humans to love her in turn. As observed by deputy chief Burningum, Dorothy could've enacted her vengeance at any time during her tenure in the Ark, but was unable to do so due to her reputation as the Goddess.[/spoiler] [spoiler]Her obsession in reliving the past and her pride has ultimately led to her downfall; her unauthorized distribution to Eden's R&D data to the Ark and her absence during the final battle against the Rapture Queen resulted in her commander expelling her from her own paradise, as well as Inherit.[/spoiler] (Source: Nikkepedia)
