Haldoria Friede

Friede Haldoria is an antagonist of the story and the Crown Prince of Haldoria. He is responsible for Elizabeth's downfall. As a Prince, he received education in politics, economics, and swordsmanship. But he's a lazy person and a tyrant in the making, and takes credits for others' actions while abusing his authority to get what he wants. His element is Thunder. [spoiler="Friede and Elizabeth's relationship"]Friede and Elizabeth have been engaged since the moment they were born. They're the same age. As the two future sovereigns of the Kingdom, they followed a strict education befitting their future status. With Elizabeth's genius discovered at a very young age, the the King and the Prime Minister gave her more and more jobs, alongside the unofficial title of Friede's aid, who proved to be lazy and slacking off instead of doing his job. Elizabeth's role was to protect Friede's image for the public. Friede's jealousy toward his betrothed and Sylvia Lockit, the girl Fried fell in love with and accused Elizabeth of misdeeds against her, pushed him to break his engagement. Not only did Friede broke his engagement, but he sent Elizabeth to prison, tarnished her reputation, and stole the firm Elizabeth built for her charity foundation. Elizabeth always considered Friede as a simple man who prefers finding excuses instead of doing his job. Despite this, she accepted her duty as crown princess, not even bothered by Friede taking a mistress in front of her nose. Her duty towards the Kingdom is what contained her fury against Friede's laziness and the fact the King counted on her to solve problematic situations Friede was in.[/spoiler] [spoiler="Friede's Divine Artifact"]He inherited his father's thunder magic. Following his father step, his Divine Artifact is the God of Thunder's Spear.[/spoiler] [spoiler="Flashforwards: The Foolish Prince"]Historians gave him that nickname after studying his actions leading toward the doom of the Kingdom.[/spoiler]
