Kumehachi

A thief caught and then tortured for information by the Arson Theft Control at beginning of the series. [spoiler]Still loyal to former boss Tanbei of Chigashira, he continues to live by 'the three articles of a true thief' he taught him, even after excommunication at age 19 fifteen years ago. To catch the Tanbei imposter, he becomes a spy for Heizou Hasegawa and Arson Theft Control.[/spoiler]
