Walkerson III Jean-Jacques

An eccentric Western mad scientist and the main antagonist of the "A Tale of Two Robots" segment. Jean-Jacques Walkerson III acts as a bombastic parody of Western imperialism and classic "Dastardly Whiplash" mustache-twirling cartoon villains. Operating under a grandiose desire to conquer Meiji-era Japan, he rolls into a quiet Japanese village piloting a massive, heavily armored iron mechanical walker named "My Dear Tinker Bell". In the original Japanese version, Walkerson speaks entirely in English while the local villagers speak Japanese. This creative choice fules the segment's comedy, as neither side can understand the other's grand battlefield declarations, prompting the young genius Fukusuke to stress over his "American" accent. In the Streamline Pictures Western release, he was renamed Jonathan Jameson Volkerson III. Because the the entire short was dubbed into English for that release, the dynamic was flipped: the Japanese heroes were given thick Asian accents to maintain a linguistic divide against Walkerson's standard American dialect.
