Izumi Kyouka

An outstanding dramatist whose plays are just starting to take off, Izumi Kyouka is a skittish and temperamental tamayori who is afraid of germs, dogs, and lightning bolts way more than evil spirits. The rabbit on his shoulder is a "tsukumogami", a type of mononoke that is born from old and treasured objects. The play he is currently working on, Yashagaike, cannot be completed until the dragon god Shirayuki returns to the manuscript. [spoiler]In the movie Yumihari no Serenade and Hanakagami no Fantasia, the heroine, Mei, chooses to live with Kyouka in the Meiji era, unlike in the TV series where Mei decides to return to the modern era.[/spoiler] [spoiler]In the movie Hanakagami no Fantasia, Kyouka once lost his life as a result of protecting Mei from an attack by Tousuke who lost control. Until finally, the snake spirit, who is Tousuke's mother, gives her strength to Kyouka and brings him back to life.[/spoiler] [spoiler]The rabbit is a memento of his mother whom he lost when he was just nine years old. In the second movie, it is also revealed that it was Tousuke's guardian who helped the rabbit materialize.[/spoiler]
